Today, I was reading this story in the Washington Post about gay, lesbian, transsexual, etc people coming out of the closet at earlier ages than previous generations. This wound up triggering some thoughts about gayness in our public sphere.
To be perfectly honest, it’s pretty hard for me to get worked up about lgbt issues. [...]

Wesley Clark’s comments have gotten a lot of media attention recently. For those of you who haven’t heard, Clark said that despite his service, McCain hasn’t had any executive experience. He went on to note that getting “shot down in a plane” is not a qualification for office. As could be expected, [...]

Apparently, Henry Waxman (D-CA) has been sniffing around the Bush Administration again–this time about an Environmental Protection Agency decision to reject California’s efforts to reduce Greenhouse Emissions within its borders and override scientific recommendations pertaining to ozone standards. The involved officials suddenly forgot everything they ever did in their job… and the House promptly issued [...]

It turns out that being a student at a major university can get a little hectic when Spring Rolls around. With papers, reading, powerpoints, and finals, I have little time for blogging on the side. To top it all off, within a week of finishing my finals, I was on a plane to [...]

I’ve been pretty hard on Dr. Paul recently, and today will be no different. Before people erroneously label me as a “hater,” it should be known that I am actually a former Ron Paul supporter, and then a friend of mine pointed me to some of his writings. Then, upon looking further into [...]

I was just thinking, which I do sometimes, about the role of states’ rights in our political climate… Now, I am inclined to think that states should be given a large amount of autonomy in many affairs, such as voter registration and election handling, driver’s licenses and traffic enforcement, and local law enforcement, but when [...]

I do consider myself to be at least vaguely libertarian, but I just cannot bring myself to vote for Representative Ron Paul (R-TX). While I don’t think that any of his goals will come to fruition with a sane Congress, and an inactive President can screw less up, there is one thing that I [...]

This Larry Craig thing is ridiculous… and I don’t care whether or not the guy is gay (though that would make his opposition to Gay Marriage puzzling and ironic). The way I see it, Craig was detained for soliciting sex in a public restroom, something that he contested at the get-go. He then, in an [...]

So, Gonzales testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee today, and reaffirmed his status as a completely incompetent idiot. The video I have placed below is of an exchange between Gonzales and Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA).
Seriously guys, this guy is an joke. He is in his position because of nepotism, he has [...]

This isn’t going to be another “THE MEDIA IS LIBERAL!!!” or “THE MEDIA IS CONSERVATIVE!!!” diatribe, nor is it going to be an admonishment of corporate ownership of the media… No, I have a very specific beef with how the media, specifically the cable news networks, reports stories relating to the administration of justice.
When [...]
